The New Protect Life Project
has been initiated to address the incidents
of suicide in the Banbridge area.
The Protect was previously
initiated by Banbridge GPs through funding from
the local business community and the Southern
Investing for Health Partnership (SIHP) to deliver
prompt and appropriate access to relevant support
services in order to help address mental health
needs of individuals in the Banbridge Area.
New funding is now being sourced
through the Protect Life (NI) Community Interest
Company (CIC) to continue services.

To address the mental
health needs of individuals experiencing
anxiety and depression by signposting
them to appropriate support services.

The primary
objectives for Protect Life (NI) Community
Interest Company (CIC) are:
- to provide support to individuals
who are experiencing mental health difficulties
- to raise awareness of support services
- to address coping mechanisms
- to provide support to those affected
by suicide
- to promote positive mental health
- to establish local community based
services to address mental health needs
- to address targets witin the regional
